The objective of the present policy (henceforth the “Policy”) is to inform visitors to the website www.foundationaim.org (henceforth the “Website”) that the non-profit civil partnership under the name “Athina I. Martinou Foundation”, with its registered office in the Municipality of Voula, Attica, and specifically at 27 I. Metaxa Street, Athens 166 73, tel.+30 2107000371 (henceforth the “AIM Foundation” or “we”), which owns and operates the Website, collects, uses, stores and otherwise processes certain personal data of the Website’s visitors. We assure you that we are committed to protecting the privacy of the processed personal data of our Website’s visitors. The objective of the present Policy is to describe the way in which we process your personal data and the purposes for which we do so. We reserve the right to update and amend the present Policy at any time, and encourage you to visit this page regularly, in order to stay informed of any changes to the Policy.

1. What categories of personal data do we process and why?

You are not obliged to disclose any personal information in order to browse our Website. You will, however, need to disclose certain personal information in the event that you choose to submit a grant request on behalf of an organization or institution in whose name you are applying for a grant. We process personal data included in grant requests, which  pertain in principle to identification data and contact details of the individuals submitting the requests in question and of the legal representatives of the respective organizations / institutions, for the purpose of evaluating these requests. The legal bases for processing personal data in these cases are: (a) the overriding legitimate interest of the organization / institution submitting the request, which comprises of the evaluation of the request and the potential approval and implementation of the grant (Art. 6, par. 1, point f of GDPR), and (b) the performance of the AIM Foundation’s legitimate activities (Art. 9, par. 2, point d of GDPR).

2. Who has access to your personal data?

In the event that you submit a grant request, we may disclose the personal data provided by you to reliable third-party service providers to the AIM Foundation, such as companies that provide us with legal and fiscal services and IT services. The service providers in question act as data processors in relation to the personal data in question, and are committed to processing the latter exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions, and adhering to strict privacy and security measures for the protection of personal data. 

The AIM Foundation does not  transfer personal data outside the E.U./E.E.A.

3. How do we process and how long do we retain your personal data?

If you apply for a grant on behalf of an organization or institution, we will only process the personal data included in the application, which are adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the aforementioned purpose, and we will not retain them for longer than is required to meet the purposes of the processing.

Our website uses cookies to facilitate its operation, in accordance with the Cookie Policy.

5. Your rights

You have the right to request access, rectification, erasure and restriction to the processing of your data held by the AIM Foundation, as well as to object to its processing. Furthermore, under certain circumstances, you have the right to request that we provide your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and request its transmission to a third party. You also have the right to file a complaint before the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr), in case you believe that we violate the applicable laws on personal data protection.
