Grant by the Athina I. Martinou Foundation to the "Elytis' House" Museum

On Friday, November 1, 2024, the inauguration of the “Elytis’ House” Museum took place in Plaka, Athens city centre.

The Museum, housed in a building belonging to the Ministry of Culture and supported by it, offers the public the opportunity to engage with the personal aspects of the great poet’s life. It also opens new horizons for researchers, ensuring that Elytis’ work remains “alive” and relevant, providing material for analysis from new perspectives.

The Athina I. Martinou Foundation contributed to the completion of the Museum, which will host the memory and the work of one of the greatest poets of Greek Literature, a global Greek.
