Support for the “Social innovation in issues of cultural heritage: pilot implementation of a transgenerational approach in Limni, Evia” Program

The grant pertains to support for the action “Social innovation in issues of cultural heritage: pilot implementation of a transgenerational approach in Limni, Evia”. This is a pilot implementation of a transgenerational approach to cocreation, at a small seaside area in Evia, aimed at investigating and promoting good practices and the benefits of participation of the young and elderly in the discussion on new ways to utilize cultural heritage. It will consist of a series of actions to inform, raise awareness, and develop skills, involving the youth (people aged 18-30) and the elderly (people aged 65+) in concepts and practices of social innovation. The aim is to connect the young and the elderly with ties of friendship, providing opportunities to express their identities, thoughts, and needs. The action will be implemented in Limni, Evia, an area with a wealth of local history and cultural heritage. An estimated 1,000 people will benefit during the course of the grant.

The action is implemented with a grant from the Athina I. Martinou Foundation, as part of the “Points of Support” program, in the category “Social Innovation in Small Seaside Local Societies”.
