The organization’s Areas of Action and respective fields of expertise are as follows: a. Search and Rescue of Missing Persons as a consequence of Mass Disasters. Pertains to the search and rescue of people trapped as a result of mass destructions (earthquakes, floods, landslides, fires, etc.), b. Search and Rescue of Missing Persons in Non-Urban Areas. Pertains to the search and rescue of missing persons in open-air, non-urban locations, at low, medium and high altitudes, c. Search and Rescue of Missing Persons in the Water. Pertains to search and rescue missions in the water (surface and underwater search for missing persons in the sea, lakes, rivers, etc.), and d. Humanitarian Missions.

Support for the Program “For life and mankind”
The grant pertains to support for the project “For life and mankind”, for the training of citizens in seaside communities in Chalkida in First Aid and Basic Life Support. The program includes 4-hour training workshops in first aid and basic life support in the seaside communities of 5 municipalities, consisting of a theoretical presentation by the trainers and hands-on practice for the trainees. After the end of the workshops, each Municipality will receive a fully equipped first aid kit, as well as educational material in the form of algorithms and images that the residents can consult to refresh their knowledge of the procedures. The estimated number of total beneficiaries over the course of the grant is 3,000 people.
The project is implemented through a grant by the Athina I. Martinou Foundation, as part of the “Points of Support” program, in the area: “Social Innovation in Small Local Seaside Communities”.
