HIGGS was founded in 2015 with the aim of supporting Civil Society Organizations through capacity building, mostly through training, guidance, counselling, networking and events.

The mission of HIGGS is to provide holistic support for a developing ecosystem of Civil Society Organizations in Greece, for the benefit of all those in need, without being restricted to a particular field. It offers capacity building seminars and counselling support across the range of Civil Society Organizations and functions as a significant hub for the ecosystem.

Measuring Social Impact

The grant pertains to the application of a process of “Measuring Social Impact”, with a dual aim: a. the Athina I. Martinou Foundation will implement a comprehensive framework/system for monitoring the impact of approved grants for the year 2022, by integrating the necessary procedures and mechanisms into the existing system, and b. grantees will be “educated” on effective and efficient ways of monitoring, recording and reporting on the projects they run. The grantees will be invited to take part in educational and counselling sessions in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the programs they realize, as well as the impression of their social impact.
