Emergency grant, in response to the July 2023 wildfires

The grant pertains to the supply of firefighting pipes and tubes (expendable materials) to teams of volunteer firefighters active within Greece. This is an emergency grant, in response to the wildfires of July 2023. The supply of new pipes and tubes is essential for all teams fighting wildfires during the current fire prevention period, as well as to replace existing equipment for use in future occasions.

The grant is complementary to the “Support for Volunteer Firefighter Teams” Program, which was implemented by Desmos, WWF Greece and HIGGS, and funded jointly by the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, the National Bank of Greece and the Athina I. Martinou Foundation.
